2024 MINDFUL SELF-COMPASSION
It's time for a little more kindness for yourself. Open Sky Mental Health is once again offering an 8-week program starting in the Fall of 2024. Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) practices shift our ability to respond to ourselves with kindness as we move through life. The 8-week course was developed by Dr. Chris Germer and Dr. Kirsten Neff through the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion. Three elements of MSC are self-kindness, common humanity, and mindfulness. Participants will develop skills and practices to bring those qualities into daily life. Leanne Floden, course co-facilitator, completed the teacher training for MSC with Dr. Germer in 2016.
No previous mediation experience is required. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat or other meditation cushions if you have them. Chairs will also be available for participants. Each evening will include short meditations, skill building activities, exercises, and reflection.
Space is limited to 20 participants, register today to save your seat.
